PJPS Ex-Preso Baristas Pilgrimage and Pop-Up Mission

Mirador Jesuit Villa is blessed to host EX-PRESO. From May 12 to May 31, 2026, Tuesday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, visitors are invited to support the Ex-Preso advocacy by enjoying espresso drinks for a cause while accompanying our PRLs in their fresh start in life. Every cup shared becomes part of a larger mission of restorative justice, compassion, formation, and second chances.

“The Ex-Preso initiative is a reintegration and livelihood program of the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service Foundation (PJPS), a Jesuit apostolate that accompanies incarcerated and formerly incarcerated persons in the Philippines. It is connected with the PJPS program for “Persons Restored of Liberty” (PRLs).

One visible expression of the program is the “Ex-Preso” coffee cart and social enterprise, where former inmates are trained and accompanied as baristas and workers as part of their transition back into society. The project emphasizes:

* restoration of dignity,
* healing and formation,
* livelihood and reintegration,
* and community accompaniment rather than mere punishment.”

“Let’s support this project by visiting the Ex-Preso coffee cart outlet in Mirador.”In this Marian month, we entrust this mission to Our Lady — that she may continue to guide, protect, and accompany all those seeking renewal, healing, and hope.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Joe Quilongquilong, SJ, Sir Jovey Baylon, and the entire staff of Mirador for warmly welcoming Ex-Preso and generously making this advocacy possible.

We humbly invite everyone in Baguio to visit, pray, accompany, and support this mission. Help us continue rebuilding lives, rekindling hope, and restoring dignity — one encounter, one conversation, and one cup at a time.”
